My name, as you have seen underneath all the posts is Nikita Vladescu. I am excited to share the journey that led me to creating this blog. In this space, I will go into detail about my blog and offer some personal information about myself. Don’t worry—I’ll keep it brief ! I would just like to share a few important things with the people who read my blog.
Where I started
I grew up in Durban, and later as I got older moved to the vibrant city of Cape Town. After high school, I felt torn between studying and exploring the world. Life in Cape Town is beautiful and abundant, but I knew there was more to be discovered around the world. Like many, my parents couldn’t fund my studies in university so I chose to start working. In this choice I felt eager to gain life experience and eventually make my way to university. From studying yachting, to being a waiter and now an Au pair living in Belgium. I’ve gathered experiences, stories, and lessons that I would love to share with you. Thinking about it, I have faith that this blog will be a part of my journey too.
Purpose
As I have mentioned, this blog was born out of my passion for writing- and a little encouragement from my dad. He is very business orientated, and during our phone calls, he would often ask, ‘Nikita, have you posted a blog about your travels?’. Eventually, I realized he had a great point. First, I’ve been given this ability to write. Second, I’ve been given the opportunity to travel. If I can use my natural talent to share my unique experiences, I can positively impact those around me.
Where I am going
With only a year to prepare, I will be attempting to fund my own studies for the year of 2026. This is my goal and what I have set my heart on for my future. I want my readers to truly believe, through my journey, that with Jesus by your side and a positive mindset, anything is possible! It’s not about where you start, but how you choose to shape the end of your story that really matters.
